Shams turns to SAR 3m losses in H1-25; accumulated losses unveiled

Riyadh - Mubasher: Tourism Enterprise Company (Shams) turned to net losses valued at SAR 3.04 million in the first half (H1) of 2025, against net profits of SAR 6.91 million in H1-24.

Shams posted revenues amounting to SAR 4.88 million as of 30 June 2025, up 14.29% year-on-year (YoY) from SAR 4.27 million, according to financial results.

In the first six months (6M) of 2025, the loss per share hit SAR 0.003, versus earnings per share (EPS) of SAR 0.006 a year earlier.

Financials for Q2-25

During the second quarter (Q2) of 2025, the company incurred a net loss of SAR 3.76 million, compared to net profits amounting to SAR 874.11 million in Q2-24.

Revenues climbed by 20.36% YoY to SAR 3.47 million in April-June 2025 from SAR 2.88 million.

Quarter-on-quarter (QoQ), the Saudi firm shifted to losses in Q2-25 when compared to profits of SAR 726,231 in Q1-25, while revenues jumped by 146.04% from SAR 1.41 million.

Meanwhile, Shams reported accumulated losses totaling SAR 71.37 million at the end of June 2025, accounting for 12.34% of the capital.
