DTC-led alliance unveils plans to expand e-hailing services in Dubai

Dubai - Mubasher: Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) and Bolt formed a strategic alliance with Kabi by Al Ghurair and Zed, the UAE’s homegrown ride-hailing app.

The partnership aims to enhance the ride-hailing experience for residents and visitors by integrating 6,200 DTC taxis and 3,680 Kabi taxis into Bolt and Zed platforms, according to a press release.

The integration aims to improve service availability, reduce waiting times, and expand overall efficiency, with future fleet additions to be automatically incorporated.

Mansoor Rahma Alfalasi, CEO of DTC, commented: “Through this collaboration, and with the addition of Kabi taxis to our existing fleet on the Bolt platform, we are expanding access to taxis and embedding them more deeply into the digital ride-hailing experience.”

Badr Al Ghurair, CEO Kabi, Al Ghurair Mobility, said: “This partnership represents a pivotal step in uniting industry expertise to serve the evolving needs of Dubai’s residents and visitors.”

The initiative aligns with Dubai’s goal to shift 80% of taxi trips to e-hailing under the Roads and Transport Authority’s (RTA) smart mobility plan.

It follows the 7% year-on-year (YoY) growth in Dubai’s taxi industry during the first half (H1) of 2025.

In May 2025, DTC’s partner Bolt integrated over 6,000 DTC taxis, reinforcing the company’s commitment to greater ease and convenience for customers.
