Riyadh – Mubasher: Yanbu National Petrochemical Company (Yansab) closed its latest trading session higher at SAR 33.24, breaking above the near-term resistance level of SAR 33.14, as investors assess whether the stock can sustain its gains and extend its upward momentum.
Technical analysis indicates that holding above SAR 33.14 could support further gains in the short term, with the stock potentially testing the SAR 34.04–SAR 34.48 resistance zone.
A successful breakout above this range could open the way for further upside toward SAR 35.25–SAR 36.55, although selling pressure at these levels may limit the rally.
The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is trading above its neutral level, indicating positive momentum. However, some technical signals suggest that selling pressure remains, highlighting the need for further confirmation of the upward trend.
Yansab’s price action in 2026 has been marked by volatility during January and February, alongside low trading volumes, following a downtrend that began in 2025. The stock rebounded in March, with rising prices and increased trading volumes coinciding with a breakout above a long-term descending trendline.
However, the stock failed to sustain its position above the broken trendline, leaving the possibility of renewed selling pressure. Further gains would require price stabilization and stronger trading volumes to confirm the durability of the recovery.
In the medium term, the SAR 38 level remains a key resistance point. A decisive breakout above this threshold, followed by sustained trading at higher levels, would provide a stronger technical signal that the long-term downtrend may be ending and could support a more sustainable recovery.
Accordingly, investors will be watching whether Yansab can maintain support above SAR 33.14 and break through the SAR 34.04–SAR 34.48 resistance zone. Trading volumes and the stock’s ability to absorb selling pressure at key resistance levels will also be critical in determining its next move.
In the first half (H1) of 2026, Yansab achieved a net profit of SAR 270 million, an annual leap of 363.92% from SAR 58.20 million.
