Trinasolar expands Saudi Arabia’s footprint through collaborations with ACWA Power

Riyadh – Mubasher: Trinasolar, a global leader in smart PV and energy storage solutions, entered into strategic partnerships with ACWA Power Company to accelerate its presence in Saudi Arabia.

The collaborations align with Trinasolar’s commitment to support Saudi Vision 2030 by delivering utility-scale solar projects, according to a press release.

The Chinese company is deploying its high-efficiency Vertex N modules (NEG19RC.20) to the Haden Solar PV independent power plant, being developed under the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF4) program.

Todd Li, Head of APMEA region at Trinasolar, stated: “By combining world-class solar technologies with local manufacturing and on-the-ground execution, we are proud to support Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals of energy diversification, sustainability, and economic growth.”

The project is scheduled to be completed in July 2026 and connected to the grid in February 2027. It marks one of the largest solar initiatives currently under development in the Kingdom.

Under the Kingdom’s National Renewable Energy Program, Trinasolar is supplying 900 megawatts (MW) of its Vanguard 1P smart trackers to the Al Khushaybi PV project, one of three solar developments led by ACWA Power.

Last December, ACWA Power signed a $400 million deal with the government of Azerbaijan for the country’s first large-scale Caspian Sea Water Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) desalination plant.
