Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt's Suez Canal registered $429 million revenues in July 2016, higher 2.5% month-on-month from $418.7, according to a statement on Monday.
The Canal’s net profit for the fiscal 2015/16 limitedly rose to EGP 24.3 billion from EGP 23.9 billion a year earlier, according to data on the official newspaper
Earlier, Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) Mohab Mamish said dollar-denominated revenues declined in 2015 by 5.3% year-over-year to $5.175 billion from $5.565 billion.
Meanwhile, revenues in local currency rose 0.3% to EGP39.769 billion, compared to EGP38.619 billion a year earlier, the chairman added.
