Riyadh — Mubasher: National Building and Marketing Company announced that its subsidiary Ajeej Steel & Manufacturing Company expects a rise in operational costs following the adjustment of electricity and water service tariffs.
The changes follow the governance procedures for energy and water product price amendments, and are scheduled to take effect starting from 1 January 2027, according to a bourse filing.
The company estimates the annual financial impact of the updated electricity consumption tariffs for Ajeej Steel to be approximately SAR 3.50 million.
Regarding water consumption, the company stated there is no change to the current tariff and therefore no material financial impact is expected from that specific utility update.
National Building noted that the actual financial impact may fluctuate based on real consumption levels and operational costs throughout the 2027 fiscal year.
The listed company is currently evaluating available options to mitigate these costs and improve operational spending efficiency to maintain business sustainability.
National Building noted that it is committed to disclosing any further material developments in accordance with relevant regulatory requirements.
It is worth noting that the parent listed company plans market transition after its board approved the decision earlier in October 2026.
