Naqi Water to develop new manufacturing facility at SAR 17.5m cost

Riyadh — Mubasher: Naqi Water Company inked a contract valued at SAR 17.57 million to establish an internal manufacturing facility for bottled water caps.

The agreement, signed on 14 June 2026, involves the purchase and installation of specialized machinery from the Italian company Sacmi Imola.

The contract’s value will be funded entirely through the company’s internal resources without the need for external financing. The machinery will be installed at the company’s main plant to facilitate the production of essential packaging components within its own facilities.

According to the regulatory disclosure, this strategic move aims to enhance industrial integration and operational efficiency by eliminating reliance on external suppliers.

The company expects the project to improve supply chain flexibility and strengthen quality control over its product components.

Naqi Water anticipates that the financial impact of this investment will begin to manifest during the second quarter (Q2) of 2027. There are no related parties involved in the transaction.

On 1 July, the company penned a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to acquire a 70% equity stake in Ahali Najd Car Rental Company.
