Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) saw a positive performance this week, as the main index added 0.14% or 7.86 points and closed at the level of 5,736.51 points.
Only the financial and the industrial sector closed in red gaining 0.87% and 0.03% respectively, while the services sector lost 0.64%.
Omani and foreign investors were net buyers at OMR 690,020 and OMR 65,850 respectively, while Arab and gulf investors leaned towards selling netting OMR 12,720 and OMR 743,290 respectively.
Gulf International led the gainers and surged 5.22%, while Sohar was the biggest decliner and dropped 4.17%.
The market cap decreased by 0.75% to OME 17.21 billion compared to OMR 17.34 billion by the end of last week.
Total traded volumes went up by 18.61% to 64.1 million shares from 54.02 million shares last week.
Turnovers also increased by 15.5% to OMR 14.66 million compared to OMR 12.7 million in the week before.
Bank Muscat led traded values with SAR 4.4 million, while HSBC was the most active in traded volumes with 12.57 million shares.
