Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s annual core inflation shrank to 2.4% in December 2019, compared to 2.1% in November, according to a report released on Thursday by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).
Meanwhile, monthly core inflation reached -0.2% in December 2019, against 0.1% in November.
Earlier today, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) revealed that the North African country’s annual core inflation declined to 6.8% in December 2019, compared to 11.1% in the same period in 2018.
Standard & Poor's Financial Services expected Egypt’s debt-to-GDP ratio to decline to 80.5% in 2022.
