EGX announces Coptic Christmas holiday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) announced that Tuesday, 7 January 2020, will be an official holiday on the occasion of the Coptic Christmas.

Trading will resume on Wednesday, 8 January, the EGX said in a statement on Sunday.

Previously, the Egyptian prime minister, Mostafa Madbouly, decided that Coptic Christmas day is a full-paid holiday.

Noteworthy to mention, on 30 December 2019, the Egyptian manpower minister, Mohamed Saafan, also disclosed that 7 January will be a paid day-off for the private sector
