Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) issued fixed treasury bonds (T-bonds) at a combined value of EGP 22 billion through two auctions on 12 January 2028, according to official data.
Holding a tenor of two years until 6 January 2028, the first auction was valued at EGP 10 billion.
The second offering stood at EGP 12 billion, with a maturity period of three years until 6 January 2029.
The CBE also auctioned floating-rate T-bonds at a value of EGP 4 billion through one tranche, which carries a five-year maturity period until 13 January 2031.
