Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered treasury bills (T-bills) at a combined value of EGP 90 billion through two auctions on Sunday, 4 January 2026.
Valued at EGP 40 billion, the first issue will mature in 182 days on 7 July 2026, according to official data.
Holding a tenor of 364 days until 5 January 2027, the second tranche stood at EGP 50 billion.
The CBE also auctioned fixed treasury bonds (T-bonds) at an aggregated value of EGP 18 billion through two issues, maturing on 6 January 2029 and 6 January 2031, respectively.
The first issue was valued at EGP 15 billion, while the second offering amounted to EGP 3 billion.
