Boursa Kuwait closes Sunday in green

Mubasher: Boursa Kuwait ended Monday’s trading session in the green zone after witnessing a mixed performance.

The All-Share index increased by 0.43% or 25.78 points to 6,074.42 points, while the Main and Premiere market indices inched up by 0.4% and 0.44%, respectively.

Liquidity decreased by 34.4% to KWD 46.89 million from KWD 71.44 million on Sunday, while traded volumes declined by 37.9% to 160.3 million shares, compared to 257.98 million shares yesterday.

The oil and gas sector topped the rising sectors with gains of 3.6%, while the consumer services index led the three decliners by losing 0.69%.

Meanwhile, First Takaful Insurance (FTI) came on top of the rising stocks, as it surged by 15.17%, while Tijara and Real Estate Investment led the losers and dropped 10%.

Kuwait Finance House (KFH) recorded the highest trading volume with 21.12 million shares with a turnover of KWD 16.24 million; before closing the session at 770 fils.
