Riyadh — Mubasher: Arabian Drilling signed a five-year contract valued at approximately SAR 3 billion with SLB Middle East.
Under the terms of the agreement, the company will provide 11 land rigs to support integrated gas drilling operations.
The contract, signed on 30 August 2026, involves the same fleet of 11 rigs previously deployed for integrated gas projects with SLB.
The company stated that the deal will support the continued utilization of its land rig fleet and strengthen its position within the Saudi energy services sector.
Arabian Drilling expects the financial impact of the contract to be reflected in its revenue starting from the third quarter (Q3) of 2026. SLB, the counterparty in the agreement, is a major shareholder in Arabian Drilling.
This long-term award aligns with the company's strategy to maintain high utilization rates for its existing assets while supporting the gas development goals of its primary clients in the Kingdom.
On 17 August, the Saudi group inked a contract with Masirah Oil Limited and Northern Offshore Limited to expand its regional operations into Oman.
